Chapter Philanthropy and Service
Upon establishment in 1898, Zeta Tau Alpha has contributed all of their philanthropic efforts towards the development and promotion of Breast Cancer Education and Awareness. A symbol of this effort is the Pink Ribbon that has been continuously distributed for decades across campuses nationwide. Theta Psi is an extension of these efforts - raising funds through donations from events like Cook-off for a Cure, Big Man on Campus, TXST Football X ZTA Blackout Breast Cancer Game, and so much more. Theta Psi is notorious on campus for having the most notable philanthropy and outrageous efforts to make a difference in their San Marcos community, raising over $17,000 in one semester through their hard work and dedication.
Our philanthropy efforts are led by our amazing sister, Jackie Nguyen, Vice President IV: Service and Philanthropy. She served on our philanthropy team last year and fell in love with not only serving our philanthropy, but the San Marcos community. Here is a few words from her!
"I have loved seeing the work ethic that comes from our chapter and my philanthropy team. The work that we get to do and seeing the impact it has within our community has been so rewarding. I'm so happy to give my chapter a fun philanthropy experience as well as deepening their understanding about why our philanthropy is so vital to our chapter. Love, Jackie!"
